SHOPPING FACILITIES

The village centre at Peregian Beach has an IGA supermarket, bakery, chemist, hardware and a variety of specialty boutiques and professional services. Excellent cafes and restaurants and a modern hotel provide delightful dining. The beachside Peregian Markets draw large crowds the first and third Sunday of each month.

Major shopping facilities are available at Noosa (10 minutes) and Maroochydore (20 minutes)

TRANSPORT SERVICES

Maroochy Airport is less than 20 minutes by car, providing services to Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane and regional services. Rail services to Brisbane run from Nambour and Cooroy (30 minutes). Buses link the coastal communities with regular services and run to both Maroochy and Brisbane airports and railheads. Limousine, hire car, taxi and mini bus networks are well established. Driving time Brisbane to Peregian via the Bruce Highway is approximately 1 hour 20 minutes.

EDUCATIONAL SERVICES

State Primary and Secondary Schools are located at Coolum and Sunshine Beach, both close by.

The Peregian Beach Community School and Peregian Beach Kindergarten provide excellent primary and early-learning services.

Peregian Springs State School & St Andrews Anglican College are established at Peregian Springs. St Thomas Moore Catholic College is in Sunshine Beach. The Good Shepherd Lutheran College is at Noosaville. A number of other well established schools exist in the district to accommodate special and religious needs.

TAFE Colleges are at Nambour and Noosa. The Sunshine Coast University is at Sippy Downs near Buderim.

Dance, music, gymnastic and many other tuition services are available.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS

The area is well served by all major networks. A complete range of broadband, television and pay-TV services is available.

HEALTH SERVICES

The major hospital for the area is at Sunshine Coast University Hospital and Noosa Hospital offers both public and private services. The area is well serviced with specialists and medical services (MRI, X-ray, Pathology, etc). Peregian Beach has a doctors surgery and a dentist operating 5 days per week. Several Private Hospitals are also available.

SPORTING FACILITIES

Peregian Beach Tennis Club is located in Rufous Street, there are 3 courts at the Tennis Club and you don’t need to be a member to play here.

The area is a golfer’s paradise with no fewer than eight, private and public courses within 20 minutes drive, and a further seven within 40 minutes. The Noosa River and lakes, sweeping beachfronts and the Maroochy River offer boating, sailing and fishing enthusiast’s huge scope. Equestrian, Gymnastics, Tennis, Rugby, AFL, League, Soccer, Cricket, Softball, Netball and all major sports are well catered for in terms of clubs and facilities. You can even indulge in rowing, outrigger canoe racing, wave-skiing, flying and parachuting.
